2024 IFAF World Junior Football Championship
Football Canada is proud to announce in conjunction with Football Alberta that Edmonton will host the World Junior U20 World Championships from June 20 to 30 at Commonwealth Stadium. After winning the right to host the 2024 World U20 Championships from the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) in 2018, Football Canada opened up the bid process with inquiries from 5 provincial organizations.
Hoop City 3x3
Basketball’s greatest 3x3 athletes return to Edmonton this summer for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour & Women’s Series. Twelve of the best men’s and women’s teams from around the globe, including hometown heroes and 2023 champions, Katherine and Michelle Plouffe, will compete for valuable qualifying points, prize money, and of course, all the glory.
To add to the excitement, hundreds of community 3x3 teams will be on-site playing their hearts out in the Hoop City 3x3 Tournament.

Americas Cup & Do North Triathalon
The Americas Triathlon Cup will welcome the next generation of elite triathletes from the Americas and around the world. To complement the elite racing, the Do North Triathlon was added – a chance for age-group athletes to compete on a new, unique course (sprint distance), with an outdoor pool swim! And to round out the day, DoNorthEvents will host once again the Triathlon Canada Junior Development Series.
